Psst… It’s my birthday month

February is one of my favourite months of the year, and not just because it’s my birthday month. It’s a time when everybody can take a deep breath and blow away the January cobwebs. A month filled with so much love, a whole day is dedicated to expressing it, and also- if I hadn’t already mentioned- it’s my birthday month!
It has become apart of girlhood to spend every other month, leading up to our birth months, to stalk Pinterest for inspiration regarding the outfit, the cake, even the Instagram caption has become of my top searches. Is it possibly quite vain? Maybe that’s a yes. But is it also well deserved? Well, that’s a definite yes.

Seeing as though it’s still the start of the year and everyone’s birthdays are still yet to celebrate (sorry January babies, read this back in 11 months!), I felt it was only right to run through my entire birthday itinerary. The gifts of my dreams, social occasions all about you, and, obviously, an outfit that’ll be strutting all over the Instagram feed.
My Birthday List
Since the New Year, I refused to make resolutions in order to prevent the pressure I would put on myself if I wasn’t able to upkeep them. However, I have naturally given into a goal to fulfil. I want to spend my weeks reconnecting with hobbies I have slowly forgotten or aged out of. One of which, is hiking. Therefore, I filled my list with items which would not only empower me to walk, but also help me look good whilst doing it.
I also may have spent half of January stalking Christmas hauls on TikTok in order to be very well educated on what I need for my birthday.

Birthday Celebrations
It is mandatory to celebrate with each person, or group, that are a part of your life. Of course, there’s your family, then typically a separate occasion also with your romantic partner, then a girl’s night with your friends.
These get togethers may happen often, or maybe hardly ever, either way they are filled with so much love and gratitude because you are surrounded by the people who love you the most and are celebrating you because of it.

A Birthday Fit
What screams birthday? Sparkles, feathers, tiaras, sashes and literally any groups of girls that are making the night about them- yes that was us last Saturday.

Oh Polly has flourished around the world, and specifically for the UK girls on any special occasion. Their fitted structures, capable fabrics, and glamorous styles allow their outfits to dazzle any room they walk into.

This brand has hit the big screens, quite literally, after their viral dresses have been featured on popular TV programs such as Love Island. They’re my favourite spot for holiday dresses, and their recent collection that just dropped is showing the glamorous side of this chic brand.

Peppermayo is an Australian- based clothing brand that develops a casual street style into a day to night outfit. And their dresses are to die for!
Top Tip: beware of lengthy shipping times and fees!
Mars The Label
If you’re looking for a dress that literally hugs and compliments every curve on your body, then Mars The Label has collections full of them. Their minis, midis, and maxi dresses are fit for any occasion, and don’t even get me started on their coords (chefs kiss!).
However, in the end, whatever the presents are, wherever outings commence, whichever dress you choose, let’s remember what a birthday is truly about. Celebrating you, the good the bad and everything in between.
Your victories and your losses and the gift of knowing there are so many more to come. I hope this year is filled with birthdays that put the Style in Style-Ish… I know mine definitely will!
