Meadowhall Opens It’s New Zara:

Just under two weeks ago, Meadowhall opened its new Zara, and since then? I’ve been four times. A perk of working part-time means having the shops to yourself during the week when everyone else is at school or work. With Uni done til September, I have lots of spare time to shop and spend, though my bank account is begging me not to.

Zara’s new store follows the aesthetic of simple, clean and minimalistic. With two different entrances, one to menswear, one to womenswear, the store bears large stone walls, a look that seems to be current in a few of Meadowhall’s new shops (Mango). And though the popular staples of Zara’s clothing were present, the brand had a collection of new pieces perfect for this Summer. For myself I picked up a short, lemon print dress with straps that tie at the top. Whilst the bodice is tight fitting, the skirt floats to just above knee length making it the perfect day time dress for my up and coming Italy trip.

Below you can see the video of my trip, along with some of the colourful, inviting displays that caught my eye. All checkouts were self-service, with the exception of the returns counter that was ran by members of staff. The self service element really speeds up checkout waiting times.

Within the past year, Zara has also become known for its range of affordable perfumes. Red Temptation, Golden Decade and Wonder Rose being some of their best sellers. The perfumes also serve as dupes, with Red Temptation being an alternative to a Baccarat Rouge scent, and Golden Decade mirroring the luxurious notes of YSL’s libra.

I have since bought a few more pieces, but they have unfortunately ended up going back. The hunt for Italy outfits is on going… though this new Zara may be the answer to my problems.

I have such an exciting day coming up tomorrow so look out for a post on that! And I’ll see you mid week for a catch up xoxo
