A Sunny Saturday in Manchester:

It’s hard to believe I’m sat here writing this on what feels like the gloomiest Sunday of the year after wondering round Manchester in 20 degree heat yesterday.

After arriving at Manchester Piccadilly, we spent all day shopping, eating and drinking tea.

First point of call is to share my OOTD, and after much deliberation here is what I decided on. My jeans were ASOS / Stradivarius Leopard print and my top was from PLT. My trainers were Prada and my bag was the Bottega dupe from anthropology. All linked below:

We started off with some shopping in Waterstones, The White company and Sostrene Grene. We actually had no idea that the Waterstones on Deansgate was the biggest bookshop in the North and though we didn’t end up buying anything, we definitely spent a good half an hour inside. It was our first time in Sostrene Grene but we loved the whole experience. It was full of cute home interior pieces, stationary and trinkets. Definitely worth a visit.

We then went to our booking at Sexy Fish, and I have to say, as two girls who ate their breakfast in Greggs, we were out of our depth! The food, the decor, the service was 10/10, they even put our napkins on our laps for us (which was hilarious btw). We had Miso Soup, King Prawn Tempura, Salmon Tartar, Seabass with Steamed Rice and Cinnamon Donuts. None of the dishes failed us, though I have to admit I am not a fan of Miso Soup. To drink I had a pineapple cocktail made up of mezcal, roasted pineapple, agave, basil, lime and coriander. Maddy had their “mango” cocktail with Grey Goose vodka, Mango, Sorghum, Lime and Sour Cream.

A moment for their toilets please…

We then headed to Oliver Bonas, Zara, Selfridges, The Arndale Centre, And Other Stories, and Affleck’s Market. As you can imagine our feet and legs were beginning to hurt so we decided to have a rest and a cuppa. We found a coffee/ book shop out of pure luck and absolutely loved it. we had a pot of tea each, settled down on one of the sofas and explored the books they had to offer. Location : House of Books & Friends, 81 King Street, Manchester, M2 4AH.

We really could have stayed all day. I ended up buying the first of the ACOTAR series after hearing all the hype over Sarah J Mass. I opted to buy the first one as opposed to the whole series as I didn’t want to risk wasting my money if it wasn’t for me.

We then headed to Primark, H&M and then set off on our way back to the station.

The whole day was so lovely and we got incredibly lucky with the weather. Today is being spent reading, writing and hair washing because the weather today? Not it.
