Zara April 2024…

As expected, Zara is keeping up with the trends meaning us customers can feel like Kylie and Kim but without the bank account. Today I went to Meadowhall to have a look around their store, before they move premises, to see what was on offer. The racks were full of leopard print, pleats, and old money vibes.

One of my favourites has to have been their "Yellow textured round neck blazer" ( 2254/ 2187) also available in pink and blue/ white. It was giving spring energy with the pastel colours, straight from Blair Waldorf's closet. The jacket was very Chanel-inspired as are most jackets for SS24. With a tweed look about it, the jacket was priced at £59.99 despite it looking straight from the Parisian Atelier.

The new trend of ballet pumps is taking social media by storm, with recent advocate Sophia Tuxford sharing her baby pink pumps on her Instagram story. Zara's hot off the press diamante pumps are perfect for a comfy night out, no more feet ache once the clock hits 11:00. Girls and guys, we can finally wear flats without feeling dressed down!!

The shop was flooded with pleated skirts, matching pan suits and preppy two pieces, including their "White knit cardigan with golden buttons" (6427/ 124). On their website the cardigan is paired with white jeans, but on the shop floor was attached to a pleated knit skirt, perfect for Spring weather.

Popular prints and patterns such as leopard print and pinstripe took form in jeans, shirts, bodysuits and heels. There were oversized shirts perfect for tucking into some jeans and leopard sandal heels to complete your meal out abroad.

It's no secret that we're suckers for comfy casual wear as well as dressy, nighttime pieces, and Zara caters to that too. Zara’s grey tracksuit made up of wide legged joggers and an over-sized t-shirt would be perfect for a Sunday full of errands and films. Though the quality was 10/10, it did feel slightly thick for going into Spring Summer.

Zara's Meadowhall shop will soon be moving to a bigger space and is due to open at the end of May. Have a look online or pop down to your nearest shop because as far as SS24 outfits go, Zara is the place to be.
