“Just nipping to the Benemart…”
Benefit Cosmetics have launched a new rage inspired by supermarket favourites. Full of fun packaging, holiday must haves and witty names, the collection has it all. For the launch, the popular cosmetics brand has partnered with Obsess to create an online shopping experience in which they hope to resonate with a younger, digitally invested, market.
The virtual shopping experience allows customers to create an avatar, sample products, play games and receive tailored product recommendations amongst several other features. Some department stores have hosted an IRL (in real life) pop up shop with a handful of Benefit’s new gift sets available.
After coming across the products in John Lewis (Edinburgh’s St James’ Quarter), my mind kept wandering back to the products, and how they would make a great gift. It was only right to let our readers know what’s on offer in case they wanted to treat a special someone in their life.
The gorgeous grocer gift set, RSP: £159 Worth over £295:
After seeing some negative reviews online, many haven’t had hope for this years Advent Calendar. With claims that value for price isn’t justifiable, this may not be one for the basket. Though we must give credit where it’s due, and the packaging? Slayed. However, the £156 price tag left some feeling disappointed with what was inside.
Extra Glam Infused, RSP: £40.00
It goes without saying for each item on this list, Benefit has gone above and beyond with their designs. This set, inspired by a tin of olive oil (in case you haven’t gathered), contains three full-sized products, and one mini. It claims to be your new go-to ingredient!
- Full-size Fan Fest Mascara
- Mini Crystah Blush
- Full-size 24-HR Brow Setter
- Full-size The POREfessional: Super Setter
Soup’d up beauty, RSP: £34.50 on sale on Benefit’s website

Wild caught lashes, RSP: £37.00
Posing as sardines in a can, these two, full-size mascaras will help open up your eyes even on the most tired of days. The Fan Fest mascara claims to “instantly” open up your eyes, and the BADgal BANG provides “buildable 36-hour full-blast volume that won’t smudge or flake”.
- Full-size Fan Fest Mascara
- Full-size BADgal BANG Mascara
Whip it glam gift set, RSP: £20.00
Another brow and lash product? Yes. BUT Benefit has several different mascaras to share, this set includes their They’re Real range. In all honesty, the packaging is giving more carton of cream, than it is coffee, but is still clever none-the-less.
- Mini They’re Real Beyond Mascara
- Mini 24-HR Brow Setter

In my opinion, the best packaging of all. Don’t sit down with this, hoping for a good TV snack when your Vlogmas choice begins.
